What a couple of years this pandemic has been!

First and foremost, I would like to give a giant heartfelt gushy thank you to all of you for being such a great community, for all of your support and endless patience as we navigate through these bizarre times. We are so grateful to all of you and truly think you are awesome! Its been a stressful and weird 2 years. There were weeks where we didn’t have inventory and you all waited to purchase your scooters…. sometimes as long as three months! Thank you. We often waited months for parts after you waited for months to get your scooters in for repairs. Thank you. Running a small business is hard and a lot of work in the best of times and I know there have been times over the last 2 years that I have lost my patience, dropped the ball, forgotten things and some days seemingly lost my mind! I had to be super diligent about safety protocols because I take care of my 80 year old father who suffers from a myriad of health problems. So we locked down and were vigilant which meant our bubble was me, my incredible husband Eric and my best friend and business partner Chris. None of us (so far knock on my wooden head) contracted covid and, more importantly we didn’t give it to my dad. I guess most importantly is that we didn’t kill each other either! Ha! In truth, we grew closer and discovered a lot about ourselves and took some time to take stock of our lives. Hence this gushy post because while business was difficult, we hung in there while many of our friends’ small businesses didn’t survive. We are so grateful to be here. My husband once commented “Your work is so great because when you make a housecall to deliver a scooter your clients are always so excited and happy.” He’s right. I love that look of joy and excitement when someone gets their scooter. It never gets old. Not in 13 years. Phew. 13 years. Let’s keep this party going! Now the bad news. We tried very hard not to increase prices even though ocean freight went up on us no less than 3 times last year. Unfortunately we can’t viably hold out any longer so there will be a few cost increases in the coming year. But for now we’re not passing on the China Tariffs (except for electric) and keeping our freight charges the same. From everything I’ve heard the supply chain does not look like it will improve in the near future and its looking like gas prices are going up. We are going to take a little time this winter to regroup and try to better anticipate everyone’s needs next year. Thank you all for hanging in there and we hope you are enjoying your scooters or enjoying the dreams of a scooter if you haven’t been ready to buy yet. Stay safe and take care!
